Digital signage is becoming more and more popular for the workplace. Digital signage is a form of electronic display that shows television programming, menus, information, advertising and other messages. Digital signs such as LCD, LED, plasma displays, or projected images can be found almost anywhere in private and public environments, like: retail, restaurants, hotels, or corporate buildings. This information that is used through digital signage helps promote company sales and advertising. These digital signs deliver messages to targeted groups at specific locations and at specific times.

Digital signage displays are usually controlled by personal computers or servers by way of proprietary software programs, avoiding any large capital outlays for the controller equipment.

The market sees digital signage as more beneficial when compared to static signage because content that can be digitally updated frequently saving the cost of printing. Digital signage also has the ability to be interactive with embedded touch screens, movement detection and image capture devices.
